More than 30,000 people in our area are employed in the automotive sector and this makes Hannover into one of the Top 5 automotive locations in Germany. As a result, this sector is the most important branch of industry in our region – and of course, in the focus of hannoverimpuls.

Hannover is not only the location of well-known automotive companies, such as  Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge, Continental or WABCO, but also offers a distinguished research landscape: Over 30 institutes and university facilities have relations to automotive technology and offer scientific support for your project.

hannoverimpuls acts as an active agent between third parties in production, research and development and ensures sustainable networking for innovation transfer and an improved production situation beyond a company's own boundaries. This starts with a common stand by hannoverimpuls and interested companies at the Hannover Messe trade fair and ranges right up to the initiation of tailored cooperation models such as the Projektzentrum Automotive (PZA) (i.e. Project Centre Automotive), which was founded in 2005 as a special service provider bringing automotive companies and research together if scientific advice was needed to answer technical questions.
