Hannover produces engineers
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with 22 institutes has obtained more external funding than any other faculty at the University of Hannover. Not only these figures but also the wide range of subjects are convincing: Skills and competence are linked here in order to provide joint development impulses and a competent partner for industry. Innovative research projects on subjects like the reduction of the use of energy, mechatronic measurement systems or optimized production processes are just a few examples.
The Hannover Center of Mechatronics, established in 1999 by the faculties of electrical engineering, computer engineering and mechanical engineering, guarantees the efficient bundling of the mechatronical activities at the University of Hannover.
The PZH is a shining example of close co-operation between science and industry. Six production engineering institutes of the University of Hannover work under one roof with industrial partners and young technology companies. With space covering 22,000 m
2, 250 scientific staff, 110 technicians and administration staff, and approx. 400 students providing ancillary support, PZH is a strong community for research and business with outstanding expertise and innovative power.
