Project Center BiomeTI

The Hannover Region, with its renowned companies and research institutions in the life sciences sector, provides an outstanding environment for the start-up, growth and relocation of companies.

The Project Center for Biomedical Technology and Innovation (BiomeTI) lies at the heart of the life sciences cluster in the Hannover Region. It was founded as a joint initiative between hannoverimpuls and BiomeTI e.V., a network of leading scientists and institutions, working in the field of biomedical technology research: the Hannover Medical School, the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, the University of Hannover and the Laser Zentrum Hannover. Therefore, the Project Center BiomeTI covers the entire value chain of biomedical technology transfer and is set up to work as a perfect service interface between industry and science. BiomeTI provides expertise, know-how, project management skills and networking opportunities to facilitate and accelerate the transfer of good ideas into valuable products for international health care markets. It is the platform giving medical technology, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies access to the know-how and high-tech infrastructure of this network of highly qualified experts.

In addition, BiomeTI supports spin-offs from local scientific organisations. Thanks to early identification, professional assistance and intensive support, a new standard of quality has been achieved in quickly turning innovative application-relevant developments into products, production methods and services.
