EXPO Park Hannover The IT Business Park of Tomorrow
EXPO Park is a unique IT business park located right next to the exhibition grounds and thus rubbing shoulders with CeBIT. Laid out as part of the world exposition EXPO 2000 and still boasting a great deal of the flair of this millennium exhibition, the site has excellent transport connections and a state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has established itself as an ultra-modern service, education and scientific centre. IT-related educational establishments supplement the wide-ranging and diverse infrastructure available on the site.
The balanced infrastructure has attracted creative minds, developers, young companies and experienced hands to build a lively community an environment which stimulates an exciting exchange of ideas, networking and inspiration. The site is a melting pot for innovative IT concepts. With “CampMedia”, the park has a startup centre for IT entrepreneurs. Numerous young companies set up office here and on EXPO Park Campus as part of the “Plug & Work” relocation initiative.
The music industry has also established a firm footing in the former EXPO national pavilions: in addition to the international music producer Mousse T. and his Peppermint Jam production company, it is also home to SPV, one of Europe’s ten largest independent labels.
And business is just part of the equation, because EXPO Park is also the venue for numerous cultural events taking place in Hannover, such as concerts by international stars, and the annual EXPO Revival Festival.
These educational institutions are at home at EXPO Park:
) Leibniz-Akademie (educational establishment for media professions)
) Vocational Multimedia College of Lower Saxony
) University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover
) University of Music and Drama (media management and multimedia communications courses)
) and many others
