Optical Technologies

Accelerating R & D

One of the special location factors for the automotive industry in the Hannover Region is the very broad-based research environment with around 40 institutes and university-related institutions involved in automotive technology research. Adequate numbers of experts and scientific staff are available in the area to handle technical questions or design experiments.

The 15 automotive-related institutes and university enterprises of the University of Hannover boast particular strengths in the innovative vehicle technologies sector. They have merged to form a competence centre for automotive engineering research, the Center for Vehicle Components and Systems. The strengths of these organisations lie in the focusing of their interdisciplinary competence on the technological challenges of vehicle development.

ZFKS and hannoverimpuls actively co-operate in applications-related research projects. The aim is to exploit know-how transfer, project-related joint ventures, and start-ups to optimally harness the results of technological research for applications in vehicles and car production processes. Together, ZFKS and hannoverimpuls established the Automotive Project Center.

Automotive Project Center – Shifting your R&D projects into top gear

PZH The Automotive Project Center has an uncomplicated and interdisciplinary approach to solving your problems. It can also integrate other companies in your research project if required. The Automotive Project Center is also available to handle less complex tasks, and provides agency services to find potential project partners in research institutes for your specific project, can act as moderator between you and the experts in the project clarification phase, can elaborate the project organisation, and accompany project implementation upon request.
