We have long had a view for future-oriented high tech sectors in our region – in particular for optical technologies. The Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH), for example, celebrated its twentieth anniversary in 2006 as an internationally leading research centre for applied laser technology. Many companies and research units have been created within its auspices which has let Hannover become one of the prime locations for optical technology.

In order so that this remains the case, companies from the field of optical technologies receive targeted support from hannoverimpuls. From common appearances at the Hannover Messe trade fair through to financial sponsorship, provision of facilities in the SIAG Technology Park, through our start-up and relocation competition, Plug & Work right up to the acquisition of contacts and networking – we show an eye for proportion when it concerns the success of your business.

Qualified personnel is available thanks to the LZH Laser Akademie which educates employees within the whole spectrum of laser and optical technology from all levels of the company. 

With the Germany-wide industry umbrella organisation, OptecNet Deutschland e.V. and the Lower Saxony body, PhotonicNet GmbH, two important competency centres and networks have their bases in Hannover Region.
