Energy Solutions

Hannover is one of the most important centres in the area of earth sciences, gas and oil drillings as well as geothermics. The Geozentrum Hannover  combines together with the “Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe” (i.e. Federal Institute for Earth Sciences and Raw Materials), the “Landesamt für Bergbau, Energie und Geologie” (i. e. State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology) as well as the “Institut für Geowissenschaftliche Gemeinschaftsaufgaben” (i. e. Institute for Earth Science Common Tasks) the central federal and the State Office for Lower Saxony dealing with the matters of exploration and approval of raw material deposits. Around Celle, the globally active drilling industry is located.
