Hannover Region is known for a lot of know-how in planning, realisation and research for building low-energy and low CO2 emitting passive real estate. SME Prize for Efficiency
The "SME Prize for Efficiency" (i.e. Effizienzpreis KMU) competition by the two organisations, enercity Fonds pro Klima and hannoverimpuls, aims to motivate small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to approach the themes of energy, climate protection and growth in a conscientious way. It encompasses two different directions – one for the best concept and one for the best implementation for sustainable improvement in energy efficiency – and offers prize money of 60,000 Euros. The start-up and relocation competition offers the ideal preconditions for a successful entry to the market in Hannover and the region: rent-free office and working spaces, strategic coaching, intensive networking and many extras are given out for innovative business concepts from the hannoverimpuls key industries.EU Funding
With hannoverimpuls small to medium sized enterprises in the Hannover Region can apply for sponsorship funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Investments are sponsored which are linked to entrepreneurial innovation and create added value and jobs. Up to five million Euros are available up to 2013 for the region.
