Accelerating R & D
One of the special location factors for the automotive industry in Hannover Region is the very broad-based research environment with
around 30 institutes and university-related institutions involved in
automotive technology research. Adequate numbers of experts and
scientific staff are available in the area to handle technical
questions or design experiments.
The 15 automotive-related institutes and university enterprises of the University of Hannover boast particular strengths in the innovative vehicle technologies sector. They have merged to form a competence centre for automotive engineering research, the Centre for Vehicle Components and Systems (ZFKS). The strengths of these organisations lie in the focusing of their interdisciplinary competence on the technological challenges of vehicle development.
ZFKS and hannoverimpuls actively co-operate in applications-related research projects. The aim is to exploit know-how transfer, project-related joint ventures, and start-ups to optimally harness the results of technological research for applications in vehicles and car production processes. Together, ZFKS and hannoverimpuls established the Projektzentrum Automotive (Automotive Project Centre) in order to shift your R&D projects into top gear.Projektzentrum Automotive
The “Projektzentrum Automotive” (PZA) (i.e. Project Centre Automotive) operates as the interface between industry and research by connecting automobile manufacturers and subcontractors with research units. The PZA is the first point of call when scientific answers are sought for technical questions from the automotive industry.
